IQSA will hold its second biennial International Qurʾan Conference in collaboration with Beit al-Hikma (The Tunisian Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts) and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Carthage, Tunisia in just TWO DAYS from July 4-6, 2017. This meeting is convened by Pr. Abdelmajid Charfi and Pr. Mokdad Arfa (for Beit al Hikma) and by Pr. Mehdi Azaiez (for IQSA). The meeting will focus on the following three areas:
- Epistemology: The Place of the Qurʾanic Studies in Islamic sciences
- Methods and Tools (Presuppositions, Applications and Purposes)
- Themes and Interpretations: Qurʾanic polemics
Opportunities to present at the conference are at this time closed, but observers are encouraged to attend the sessions at their convenience. The International Qur’anic Studies Association is dedicated to fostering Qurʾanic scholarship.
